Sunshine Stripes

Let’s make it
- Tie the four strands together 12 cm / 5 in from one end. Secure above the knot. Lay the colors out from left to right.
- Take the far-left strand as your working strand. Lay it OVER the next strand to make a shape like the number 4.
- Bring its end behind the next strand and up through the loop of the 4. Hold the other strand straight and slide the knot upward. Repeat on the SAME strand: two half-hitches make one forward knot.
- With that same working strand, make a forward knot on each remaining strand, moving left to right. Your working strand finishes on the far right.
- Start the next row with the new far-left strand. Repeat rows to make diagonal stripes, keeping the knots snug but not tight.
- When the bracelet fits, tie an overhand knot. Braid the loose ends into ties. Ask a grown-up to fasten it loosely enough to remove.
