Twisted Tides

Finished Twisted Tides bracelet showing the pattern and tying ends

Let’s make it

  1. Line up both yarn strands. Tie their ends together at each end, making one long two-color bundle.
  2. Ask a helper to hold one end still. Hold the other end and twist it in one direction until the bundle is tightly twisted, keeping it stretched.
  3. Keep tension on the bundle. A helper holds its midpoint while you bring the two knotted ends together.
  4. Hold both ends together. Let go of the midpoint slowly so the two halves twist around each other. Smooth out any uneven bumps.
  5. Tie both ends together firmly to stop untwisting. The folded end makes a small loop.
  6. With a grown-up, check the fit. Tie the ends loosely through the loop; leave enough room to remove it. Trim excess yarn after fitting.
